A rich balanced diet can improves the health of your nails. Food items like carrots, leafy green vegetables, citrus fruits, broccoli, walnuts, tomatoes, Brewer’s yeast, peanuts, egg yolk and soybeans are needed for healthy nails. You can even take biotin supplements as this vitamin helps to prevent fingernail breakage.
Drink about 8 – 10 glasses of water every day to keep your body and nails hydrated. This can prevent the nails from drying, and the chances of breakage and splitting are reduced.
Washing your hands often can damage your nails. Excess moisture on the nails can make them fragile and weak, causing cracks and splits.
