Consume foods rich in proteins as fingernails are composed of protein. Therefore, this building
block is necessary for nail growth. Choose lean protein sources to avoid saturated fats in your
diet. Include skinless chicken, turkey, eggs, yogurt, peanut butter and soybeans in your diet.
Regular activity using your hands as well as massaging them will help in nail growth. Physical
exercises such as typing can help in lengthening of the nails. Therefore condition your nails
properly because even that involves movement.
Olive oil is a natural remedy for nail growth. Take some oil in your palms and massage the
fingers. Massage the nail tips and cuticles as well. You can even soak your fingers in olive oil for
some time. Include this tip in your weekly nail regime for good nail growth.
Avoid biting your nails. If you are unable to quit this habit, there is one solution. Take aloe vera
leaf and make a paste by boiling the leaf in a pan. Store this gel in a jar and apply it to the nails.
This can help you in preventing nail biting as it is bitter in taste.
Use a sunscreen lotion while you go out in sun. Also wear gloves while doing household works.
Use a good moisturizing cream on your fingernails before going to bed.
