Nails of the fingers are the hard plates which cover the finger tips. These nails are made up of Keratin. The cells of keratin are produced constantly, so the old cells are pushed to the surface the new ones keep on producing in the bottom.
This movement of the cells gives the growth to the nails.Although keeping long nails is liked by every women but they are difficult to maintain as big nails are more prone to cracking, chipping after reaching a certain length.
Nail hardners act as the protectant to the nails. This is the ingredient which helps nails to look hard
and beautiful.
Ingredients Of Nail Hardner:
Formaldehyde is the major constituent of the nail hardner. Formaldehyde has two functions to do: firstly it acts as a fungicides and it also helps in increasing the shelf life of the nails. the nail polishes also have formaldehyde in some quantity. It is for the reason that formaldehyde enables the nail polishes to adhere to the surface of the nails as it forms a resin when they are mixed with the chemical Arly sulfonamide.
Some other ingredients that can act as the nail hardners are the keratin, garlic extract, eucalyptus extract and various other herbs.
How To Apply A Nail Hardner:
The method to apply nail hardners are:
- First soak the nail in the warm water for 10 – 15 minutes for 3 -4 months continuously. During this time discontinue the use of detergents and nail polish removers
- Then soaked nails must be patted to dry.
- Now, trim the nails and apply the some cream or oil around the cuticles before applying the hardners on the nails.
- Then apply the hardner on the nail in one or two strokes. Before taking the brush out make sure that extra amount of hardner is wiped at the mouth of the bottle. This is because the extra amount of it can damage the cuticle.
